GAP 2020 PRAYER POINTS WEEK 1 PRAYER FOCUS: PREPARATION/CONSECRATION

Updated: Jan 13, 2020

Beloved,

May the grace of God be with us all as we stand in the gap for Alaska. It is an exciting time to align with the Holy Spirit for Alaska and I strongly believe that God will open up the heavens over Alaska in this season in Jesus name.

Our main daily prayer scriptures and points for week 1 shall be as follows:

Wednesday 1st

Pray for supernatural strength for every participant for GAP 2020

‘Then as he lay and slept under a broom tree, suddenly an angel touched him, and said to him, "Arise and eat." Then he looked, and there by his head was a cake baked on coals, and a jar of water. So he ate and drank, and lay down again. And the angel of the Lord came back the second time, and touched him, and said, "Arise and eat, because the journey is too great for you." So he arose, and ate and drank; and he went in the strength of that food forty days and forty nights as far as Horeb, the mountain of God.’ 1 Kings 19:5-8

  • Let’s thank God for all the victories and all the success of 2019.

  • Let’s thank God for the strength He has given us for the journey this far and the strength He is giving us for the next leg of the journey.

  • Let’s pray and thank God in advance for all the things He is going to do through God’s Family Missionary Movement in 2020

  • Let’s pray for the fulfillment of God’s Family Global Center.

2nd. Pray for the anointing for prayer upon every participant of GAP 2020

Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. And when He had fasted forty days and forty nights, afterward He was hungry.’ Matt 4:1-2

  • Let’s thank God for today. Thank Him for this time of preparation and consecration as we continue in prayer and fasting for Alaska.

  • Let’s pray that the anointing for prayer would be upon every participant of the GAP 2020 prayer and fasting.

  • As Jesus was led by the Holy Spirit, let’s pray that we would be led by the Holy Spirit each day.

  • Let’s pray for the transition into the new property. Let’s pray that everything would go smoothly.

3rd. Pray for victory over temptation and slackness for every participant.

‘Then Jesus came with them to a place called Gethsemane, and said to the disciples, "Sit here while I go and pray over there." And He took with Him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and He began to be sorrowful and deeply distressed. Then He said to them, "My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Stay here and watch with Me."

He went a little farther and fell on His face, and prayed, saying, "O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will." Then He came to the disciples and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, "What! Could you not watch with Me one hour? Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak."’ Matt 26:36-41

  • Let’s thank God. Thank Him for today, for strength and the Holy Spirit’s help in this time of preparation and consecration as we pray and fast.

  • Let’s pray for victory over temptation and slackness for every participant of the 40-day prayer and fasting.

  • Let’s pray that every participant will be spiritually awakened during this time of prayer and fasting and ask the Holy Spirit to help everyone to remain alert.

  • Let’s pray for victory over sleepiness and heaviness that could prevent any participant from praying and meditating on the word of God.

  • Let’s plead the blood of Jesus over every minister under God’s Family Missionary Movement.

  • Let’s pray that each minister under God’s Family Missionary Movement would take time to consecrate themselves to the Lord during this GAP 2020.

  • Let’s pray for the consecration of God’s Family Global Center.

4th. Pray for the removal of distractions for every participant of GAP 2020

‘And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.’ Acts 2:42

‘Commit your way to the Lord, Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass.’ Psalm 37:5

  • Thanksgiving: Let’s thank God for his grace throughout this period of fasting and prayer.

  • Prayer for Commitment: Let’s pray that believers all over Alaska will commit to this prayer and fasting for Alaska.

  • Prayer for Diligence: Let’s pray for every participant to make the commitment to diligence in personal prayer, the study of the word, listen for the voice of God throughout this season.

  • Prayer of Consecration: Let’s pray for every participant to seek the Lord and search for the Lord with all their hearts, in humility and repentance.

  • Prayer for Strength: Pray for supernatural strength and the Holy Spirit’s help in this time of preparation and consecration as we pray and fast
